Nutrition
Fueling adaptation. Energy balance, macronutrients, and timing.
Training is the stimulus; nutrition is the raw material the body uses to adapt to it. You can't out-train an energy or protein deficit, and you can't recover from work you don't fuel. This section covers the inputs that turn training stress into progress.
What this section covers
- Energy balance: surplus, maintenance, and deficit, and what each is for.
- Macronutrients: protein, carbohydrate, and fat, and how much you need.
- Nutrient timing and hydration around training.
